“Street MOMs is a nonprofit outreach organization located in Wheeling WV. We serve the homeless community in our city. Socks With A Mission has supplied us with several thousand pairs of socks over the years. Dr. William Mercer, a volunteer physician on our local street medicine team is quoted saying “socks are medicine for our unhoused folks.”  Without the generous support of Socks With A Mission we would be unable to properly care for a population that spends a significant part of their day walking. A positive side note is we engage elderly residents at a local assisted living facility to bind pairs of socks together to form a “sock ball” for quick and easy distribution.
